This elegant one‑piece summer dress, dating to circa 1911, is a refined example of early Edwardian fashion. The garment carries the English couture label Madame Agnes Unwin – Court Dressmaker – 3 New Burlington St, Regent St W, placing it within the prestigious dressmaking district of London.

The dress is made of thin ecru gauze fabric, beautifully embroidered with delicate motifs that highlight the lightness and sophistication of summer wear in the early 1910s. A brown velvet belt, complemented by a second, playful decorative row at the front, adds contrast and structure to the silhouette. The design features a high stand‑up collar, a straight‑falling skirt, and an elegant overskirt that enhances movement and depth.

Included with the dress is its original cotton undergarment, tailored to match the outer layer—an increasingly rare survival that underscores the completeness of the ensemble. Both pieces are in very good condition, showing only discreet signs of age and wear consistent with careful use. Decorative accessories shown in photographs are not included.

A beautifully preserved example of English couture craftsmanship, this dress is ideal for collectors of Edwardian fashion, early 20th‑century textiles, and museum‑quality garments.
