This elegant one‑piece summer dress, dating to circa 1911, is a refined example of early Edwardian fashion. The garment carries the English couture label Madame Agnes Unwin – Court Dressmaker – 3 New Burlington St, Regent St W, placing it within the prestigious dressmaking district of London.

The dress is made of thin ecru gauze fabric, beautifully embroidered with delicate motifs that highlight the lightness and sophistication of summer wear in the early 1910s. A brown velvet belt, complemented by a second, playful decorative row at the front, adds contrast and structure to the silhouette.
